Copa de Oro 2024 Winning Coffees

We are thrilled to announce the release of six extraordinary coffees from the final cupping table of the Copa de Oro 2024 competition, including the grand champion Francy Leonor Marin! These coffees represent the pinnacle of quality from Huila, Colombia, and showcase the dedication and craftsmanship of some of the region's most talented producers.

Competition Overview:
The Copa de Oro, organized by Osito Coffee, is a premier coffee competition held in Huila, Colombia. Designed to identify and celebrate outstanding coffees, the event follows a rigorous format:

  • Blind Cupping Rounds: All coffees are evaluated without knowledge of the producer to ensure impartiality.

  • Regional Categorization: Coffees compete within the Western, Central, and Southern regions of Huila.

  • Final Evaluation: 15Top-scoring coffees (5 from each region) advance to a final cupping table, where judges determine the champions based on the average cupping score - including previous rounds.

We are proud to share that Vivid Coffee’s founder and green buyer, Ian Bailey, was invited to participate as a judge in this important. His firsthand experience in the competition gives us even greater insight into the exceptional quality of these coffees.
