Copa de Oro 3rd Place Central: Diva Maria Monje - Ají Variety

From the hills of Suaza, Huila, Diva María Monje’s coffee represents both tradition and innovation. Grown at 1,690 meters, her washed Ají variety placed 3rd in the Central Region of the 2024 Copa de Oro competition—an impressive showing in a field dominated by Pink Bourbon, Gesha, and other rare cultivars.

This is the first time we’ve sourced and roasted Ají, a unique Colombian variety known for its vibrant fruit character. Diva’s lot is brimming with flavors of cherry, pink starburst, and chocolate, a cup that manages to be both playful and structured.

For us, this coffee isn’t just exciting because of its competition recognition—it’s a testament to Diva’s skill and vision as a producer. Every sip highlights her dedication to craft and her willingness to nurture a variety that stands out from the crowd.
