We have purchased coffee from Juana’s father (Santos) for over 10 years. When we first met Santos and Juana in 2018, we were told that Juana worked alongside Santos as a coffee producer. Even though we have sold the coffee under the name Santos Lopez — Juana has taken over the majority of farm management. Last year, Santos and Juana decided to parcel out the farm and begin selling a portion of the coffee under Juana’s name.

The coffee is almost identical in profile from the coffee delivered under Santos’ name - which is unsurprising given it is coming from the same microclimate and processed in the same manner. We are proud to now offer coffee bearing the name of Juana Lopez - the heir apparent to Santos.

The flavor profile is creamy, sweet, and balanced. An everyday drinker with notes of caramel, almond, and a hint of ripe peach. We have a hard time imagining anyone not enjoying this coffee.
