Origin & Producer
Alo Coffee was founded in 2020 by Tamiru Tadesse, a native of Bensa, Sidama, who was inspired by a friend’s victory in the 2020 Cup of Excellence. He launched the company to elevate high-quality and competition-level coffees from Bensa—and specifically from previously non-traditional areas now viable for cultivation.

The Bona Zuria Site
The Bona Zuria washing station, established after Tamiru acquired approximately 17 hectares of land, lies at elevations between 2,280–2,380 meters above sea level. This high-altitude terroir, once unsuitable for coffee due to climate constraints, now yields exceptional cherry under Tamiru’s meticulous stewardship.

Coffee & Processing
This lot features the 74158 varietal, processed as a washed coffee with rigorous quality control from cherry sorting to final drying. Classified as Grade 1, the Bona Zuria washed lot delivers a pristine cup that balances elegance and body.

Cup Profile
Expect a clean, refined cup characterized by vivid florals, bright acidity, and layered fruit complexity—notes of peach, apricot, and strawberry, with hints of mint and lemongrass supporting a smooth, lingering finish. A truly expressive reflection of Bona Zuria’s high-elevation terroir and Alo Coffee’s exacting standards.
