We have purchased Santos Lopez’ coffee for the last seven years, which makes Santos our longest standing producing partner. The first year we purchased Santos’ coffee was the first year he had sold his coffee as a specialty product. He used to sell his coffee to whoever was going to pay for it. He changed the way he worked after hearing and seeing the specialty coffee project that was developed in the area through Beneficio San Vicente. Many of his neighbors and relatives were part of it and he wanted to participate. He was aware that he had the potentiall to produce great coffee. The altitude, the area where the farm is located, the old Bourbon and Pacas he has planted, all these details showed that he could do well.

Originally we were only offered Santos’ pacas and bourbon as a blended lot. For the following years, we also purchased Santos’ catimor lot. This is the first year we are receiving all three varieties as separate lots: pacas, bourbon, and catimor.

Online orders and subscription pick-ups will be held 150 Cherry Street, Burlington, Vermont (the location of our new cafe) during cafe business hours
