Another rare single-farm coffee from Ethiopia, our second of the year. Shibru Dube has been producing coffee for five years, but did not commit to specialty production until 2024 when he began to work with Crop to Cup importers. Prior to 2024, Shibru had a difficult time finding a market for his coffee. We are grateful to purchase a small portion of his 2025 harvest - an excellent natural process from the Chelchele region. Our first impressions of samples of the coffee were bigger and juicier notes… but as we’ve settled into a production roast of the coffee we are getting a lot of softer, complex citrus, floral and stone fruit notes reminiscent of a washed coffee from Ethiopia. Even though it is only Shibru’s second year exporting coffee to the US market… after tasting his coffee and hearing about his dedication to producing specialty coffee we have no doubt that we will continue to see his coffee as an excellent representation of Ethiopian coffee quality.
