Nguisse Nare - Murago Outgrowers - Ethiopia

from $25.00

Perched high in the Bombe mountains at 2,300 meters, Nguisse Nare’s Setame farm is a remarkable example of dedication to quality and innovation in Ethiopian coffee. Spread across 10 hectares and intercropped with taro and sweet potato, the farm is planted with the celebrated 74158 variety. Beyond Setame, Nguisse manages two additional farms in Kokose and Tiburo, where he produces both natural and anaerobic coffees from his own harvest as well as cherries collected from roughly 60 neighboring producers.

Every lot begins with floating the cherries to ensure only the ripest fruit makes the cut, followed by a slow 20-day drying process on raised beds. The result is an expressive cup with vibrant fruit character and layered sweetness.
